Fay Guiffo: violinist, theatre-maker and artist

Fay Guiffo is a French Cameroonian director, violinist and cross-disciplinary artist based in Edinburgh. She is the lead artist, co-director, writer, composer and performer of her debut show Arcana, presented at the Edinburgh Fringe 2026 as part of the Made In Scotland Showcase.

Lead artist of Arcana

As a performer, Fay has appeared in a range of theatre and dance productions, including Death of a Salesman directed by Andy Arnold (Raw Material/Trafalgar Entertainment, 2025), SKETCHES directed by Katie Armstrong (Made In Scotland Showcase, 2023), and Ideas Jukebox (nominated for Best Production for Children and Young People, CATS awards 2026), directed by Hazel Darwin-Clements. Fay has also been invited to perform at major cultural events, including the Edinburgh International Book Festival and the Scottish International Storytelling Festival.

Her music film Spanish Dance was a finalist at the Oniros Film Awards (2021), recognising her work across both live performance and screen-based storytelling. In 2025, she collaborated with Young Fathers on the soundtrack of the film 28 Years Later directed by Danny Boyle.

Fay brings together classical violin, theatre, movement, film and visual storytelling. Her practice is rooted in collaboration and in making space for audiences to listen to their own inner voice.
